What are Terpenes?

What are terpenes? Terpenes are what give fruits, flowers, and cannabis their aroma and flavors. Additionally, terpenes contribute to the experience of cannabis products. Simply put, different strains = different terpenes.

At Wyld, we do not use strain specific batches, and instead opt to use botanical terpenes to match the profile of Sativa, Hybrid, or Indica strains. This process ensures that the overall experience of Wyld products is balanced, pleasant, and relaxing, without causing lethargy or over-excitement.

Why botanical terpenes and not cannabis? Well, cannabis terpenes degrade over time, making them less potent and consistent as they age. Whereas botanical terpenes, on the other hand, do not degrade over time, meaning that we are able to craft a more consistent, longer-lasting product.

Wyld sources natural fruit and botanical terpenes that help facilitate different experiences like calm, euphoria, or energy, for instance.

Terpenes commonly associated with Sativa strains are: Limonene, Terpineol, Valencene, Alpha-Pinene, and Beta-Pinene. Those often associated with Indica strains are: Linalool, Myrcene, and Beta-Caryophyllene. These terpenes are also commonly found in essential oils, hops, lemongrass, and many spices.

The terpenes present in Wyld products are as follows:

  • Raspberry Sativa Enhanced Gummies: limonene, alpha-pinene, beta-pinene, valencene, beta-caryophyllene

  • Huckleberry Hybrid Enhanced Gummies: limonene, linalool, alpha-pinene, beta-pinene
