At Wyld, we believe in creating opportunities for second chances—and that’s why we’re proud to partner with Expunge Colorado, one of the most impactful organizations in the state working to help individuals move forward from their criminal records. Through their restorative justice efforts, Expunge Colorado has successfully sealed 275+ criminal records at no cost to participants, opening doors to housing, employment, and a brighter future.

Why We Care

Wyld Works’ commitment to Social and Racial Justice directly aligns with the core pillars of Expunge Colorado. For decades, cannabis prohibition disproportionately targeted and criminalized marginalized communities, leaving countless individuals with records that continue to limit their opportunities long after laws have changed.

Expunge Colorado works to confront this injustice head‑on by providing free record-clearing services and advocating for equitable reform within the legal system. By supporting expungement efforts and partnering with organizations creating meaningful change in their communities, we’re proud to help build a more just and inclusive future for those harmed by inequitable cannabis policies.

Why Their Work Matters

Having a criminal record can carry devastating, lifelong consequences—affecting access to jobs, housing, education, and even voting rights. These barriers don’t just impact individuals; they ripple through families and communities for generations.

While Colorado law allows many charges to be removed, the process is often complicated and costly, leaving countless people without relief. Expunge Colorado exists to change that narrative by removing legal and financial barriers for those who deserve a fresh start.

How They Do It

Expunge Colorado operates through three core pillars:

  • Education – Providing resources and guidance to help individuals understand their rights and navigate the record-sealing process.
  • Advocacy – Working alongside the Colorado Clean Slate Coalition to push for systemic change and equitable access to justice.
  • Pro Bono Legal Support – Offering free legal assistance to seal eligible criminal cases, ensuring that cost is never a barrier to opportunity.

Since 2018, their work has helped historically impacted communities reclaim their futures and restore dignity through record sealing.

Wyld’s Role in the Partnership

Through our partnership, Wyld proudly supported initiatives that amplify Expunge Colorado’s mission, including:

  • Educational Resources – Funding the creation and distribution of pro se record-sealing, including a comprehensive Resource Guide.
  • Community Programs – Sponsoring the 8th Annual Record Sealing Program in Fall 2025, which provided hands-on support to individuals seeking aid.
  • Cannabis Justice Campaign – Developing a cannabis-specific educational campaign and resource to address sealing cannabis-related convictions in Colorado during 2025–2026.

These efforts reflect our shared commitment to equity, justice, and creating pathways for those most affected by outdated policies.
